Lineworkers and spotters

Energy Safe Victoria (ESV) is the independent technical regulator responsible for electricity, gas and pipeline safety in Victoria.

We are also responsible for licensing and registering all electricians and electrical tradespersons and we oversee the registration of spotters through training organisations and lineworkers via the Victorian Major Electrical Companies (MECs) of AusNet ServicesJemena, United Energy and CitiPower and Powercor.

ESV provides various services and support to electricity professionals, lineworkers and spotters and those seeking to further develop their skills.

Below and on the following pages are links to important information in relation to lineworker’s and spotter’s registration.
