Electrolysis mitigation and cathodic protection

Energy Safe Victoria is responsible for the protection of underground and underwater structures from the corrosive effects of stray electrical currents – electrolysis. We do this by registering cathodic protection systems and monitoring protection and electrolysis mitigation systems.

ESVConnect for CPS users will be offline from Friday 28 June to Sunday 30 June, to upgrade ESVConnect.

We are upgrading ESVConnect with new functionality. When it goes live you will notice:

  • New functionality for Certificates of Electrical Safety (COES) purchase and lodgement, REC registration, and electrical worker licensing and renewal.

We advise you to submit your registrations prior to Friday 28 June or wait until ESVConnect is back online on Monday 1 July.
